However, before this there was no infection in the bladder or any part of the body of the mice. Generally, patients are also put on a catheter at the time of surgery so that the bladder can be emptied. When it was worn in rats, dormant Acinetobacter baumannii bacteria were activated which were already hidden in the cells of the bladder. As soon as the catheter was inserted, the activity of these bacteria started increasing and the mice developed urinary tract infection.
