Digestion better than jaggery
Garima Goyal told that the absorption of jaggery in the stomach is very slow due to which the balance of blood sugar remains. While sugar gets absorbed rapidly and increases the level of blood sugar immediately. That’s why jaggery is a complex sugar in which sucrose molecules are in chains. On the other hand, jaggery contains carbohydrates as well as minerals, vitamins and antioxidants, while sugar is hollow from inside and only contains more calories. According to Ayurveda, jaggery has anti-allergic properties, due to which it helps in treating many problems including asthma, cold, cough and chest tightness. Eating jaggery after meals improves digestion and helps in flushing out the toxins accumulated in the body. For all these reasons, consumption of jaggery is much better than sugar.
