On the instructions of the Union Health Ministry, many state governments have issued an alert. Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey has given necessary instructions regarding monkeypox by holding a virtual meeting with civil surgeons and medical college hospitals of all the districts on Tuesday itself. If symptoms of monkeypox are seen in a patient, then treatment will be started immediately on the basis of that. Along with this, health workers who come in contact with monkeypox infected do not need to take leave for more than a week.

Let us tell you that monkeypox, which has spread in many countries of the world, has started spreading in India as well. However, so far no one has died in India due to this disease. Five people have been reported to have died of monkeypox in Africa. In such a situation, after the instructions of the central government, all the state governments have started preparing for this to make a dedicated center in the nodal hospital or hospital.

State governments in alert mode regarding monkeypox
The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared monkeypox a global public health emergency of international concern. Since then, the Health Ministry has asked all district hospitals in the country to monitor suspected patients and report suspected cases. Civil surgeons have received an advisory from the department to check for symptoms of monkeypox and the staff has been apprised of the same. These people will have to keep under observation suspected persons (returnees) from specific countries, even if they are not tested for the disease.

Fever, back pain, deep weakness, rash. This disease causes the lymph glands to swell. It is followed by or accompanied by the development of a rash that may last for two to three weeks. Vascular rashes occur on the face, palms and soles. The rash spares the trunk. Symptoms usually last for two to three weeks. The infection gets cured in 6 to 13 days.
