Tension of 80 percent parents, how much fat, sugar and salt in packaged food nav

Parents worry about Processed Food: In today’s lifestyle, the culture of processed food is increasing day by day. In such a situation, it would not be quite wrong for us to say that we have made ourselves dependent on these processed food. It is also a fact that obesity in children and as they grow older, the risk of non-infectious diseases has also increased in them. For this reason, the tension of the parents has also increased a bit. This is the reason why 80 percent of parents in a nationwide survey said that the information on fat, salt, sugar etc. should be clearly and prominently written on the packet of processed food. According to the news report published in Hindustan newspaper, this survey was done by EGPP i.e. Institute of Governance Policy and Politics, an NGO working for food awareness. The results of which were released on 15 October.

As a result of the survey, it has been found that parents have become more aware about the health damage caused by excessive consumption of fat, salt and sugar. They have started to understand that processed food products have a big role in increasing diseases like diabetes and high BP. This can also be said because the quantity of various elements present in most of the packaged food products sold in the country is not mentioned. And even if some information is given about it on the packet, then it is so vague that common consumers cannot understand it.
